At FP2, we offer all our students the opportunity to study GCSE P. This course suits students who regularly compete in physical activity outside of school.Lessons will consist of one theory (classroom-based lessons) and one practical per week.

At Finham Park 2 our main aim is to inspire all of our students to lead an active and healthy lifestyle whilst at school and to continue these choices into adulthood.

We achieve this aim by teaching lessons that focus on: We pride ourselves at working as a team.

Our Student sports council have given specific sporting examples how each of these are used: All students have 2 x 1 hour PE lessons per week. There is no firm policy on streaming groups by ability; instead each cohort is looked at for its particular needs.

Students receive 7 blocks (different sporting activities) throughout the year. Students have opportunity to learn and compete in invasion, aesthetic, rackets, adventurous/ problem based activities and fitness/ athletic activities All Key Stage 4 students have two hours a week of core PE time (year 10: 1 x 120 minute lesson & year 11: 2 x 60minute lesson).

The course has the following aims: This course would suit students who regularly compete in physical activity outside of school.

Lessons will consist of one theory (classroom based lessons) and one practical per week.

Where students and staff members adhere to the expectation that everyone tries their best to be the best, everyone stays focussed and everyone listens with respect.

Furthermore, to help us achieve this we also expect all students to bring their full P. E curriculum has been designed to offer all our students the opportunity to participate in a large range of traditional sports and alternative activities.

E kit (top, shorts/skort, socks and non-marking sporty trainers) to every lesson. Additionally, we do not believe in having “girl sports” and “boy sports”.

We believe that all students deserve the same experiences in life which will help them to make positive choices in relation to activity levels as an adult. They will either be grouped within their normal classes or set roughly by ability level.
